HP 110 Netbook 2gb RAM Upgrade

Simple install of G.Skill 2gb memory module in my new HP 110-1025dx netbook. 200-PIN DDR2 533Mhz Only a screwdriver is required along with a little bit of thumbnails. HP’s site shows a claimed “maximum memory” capacity of 1gb. Not sure why they say this when it runs a 2gb module just like a normal laptop can. Bought from NewEgg: Item number N82E16820231163 (as of 8/19/2009 still an active item)

Simple? Is it a joke? What are you doing? You do not see anything the camera had to be closer

I heard that this will make your computer heat up fairly quickly… would Rendition by Crucial 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) have less of such an effect?

@edwardnese I would assume it would be noticeable, you’re going from 1GB to 2GB that is a large difference for ram. Like going from having your RAM usage at 100% all the time to going to it being at like 60%. You could run many more programs possibly even a few games better. No major games. But if you’re using the laptop for web browsing and nothing else you should notice a huge difference.

@jaybajan It’s google earth, when you load up the program that is what you see.

@maflagulator that will be the starter edition since it only requires 1gb of ram to work which most netbooks ship with but if you can upgrade to 2gb ram then it should be faster and allow you to install another windows 7 edition such as home premium

thank you but i would rather prefer to see how you open it and then attach the RAM-module
